2 Days in Niagara Falls, Canada Itinerary

“Greetings from the wonderful Niagara Falls, Ontario”

Day 1 in Niagara falls, Ontario

After arriving at my bus stop in the falls, I was too lazy, exhausted and hungry to walk the 15 minutes to my hotel so I decided to take a cab and ended up paying about $10 for the trip. It was too early for me to check into my hotel so I decided to leave by bags and freshen up a bit in the hotel’s bathroom and headed out into the town to satisfy my hunger.

My first stop was at the Rainforest cafe, which was about a 10 minute walk from my hotel into Clifton Hills. I had some delicious pasta and a local beer. This restaurant is really fun and playful. It’s like you are having a meal in the jungle filled with rainfalls.

My next stop was to the Butterfly Conservatory. The ticket price is about $16 for an adult. Just keep in mind that the conservatory is about 20 minutes or so from the falls and I would highly recommend taking public transportation or a cab to the conservatory since it’s a bit of a walk from Clifton Hills.

Wow! The Butterfly Conservatory was a fun place to enjoy especially if you are a fan of butterflies. There are a ton of many beautiful butterflies just flying around and the feeling is beyond joyful. I’d also recommend taking a walk in the gardens which is free and enjoy the view and scenery if the weather is in your favor.

After that, I headed over back to Clifton Hills, where I zipped line across the falls. The experience is mind-blowing especially if you are planning on doing it in the evening. Keep in mind the whole experience lasted under a minute, but ti was absolutely amazing. The view of the falls in the evening is just gorgeous.

After such a beautiful day, it ended with having dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe where I enjoyed some really delicious appetizers and a local beer.

Day 2 in Niagara Falls was dedicated to the Niagara Wine Tour and Tastings on the Niagara falls lake. I was able to find a really good deal on viator for $33 per a person, which included transportation and wine tasting to 5 wineries.

Keep in mind Canada is known for their vineyards especially on Niagara falls lake.

I made it back on time to enjoy a quick ride on Niagara Falls sky wheel in Clifton Hills. If you are looking to have a fabulous view of the falls from both the Canada and New York side then I would recommend doing so from the sky wheel.

Okay If you are craving for indian food then you are in luck there are a few indian restaurants on the strip in Clifton Hills. I enjoyed a delicious dinner at “The Guru – Fine Indian Cuisine.” I was so in love with the samosas, lamb vindaloo, naan and chicken biriyani.

Overall I had such an amazing time in Niagara Falls, Ontario and highly recommend visiting especially in the warmer months. It’s a perfect long weekend getaway especially for us New Yorkers.
Happy Traveling!
