2 Days in France Itinerary

I’m absolutely so excited to share my 2 days adventure with my parents in France.

⁉️Why did we visit France

We went to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. So their marriage was arranged and that was the start of their half century journey together.

Day 1: June 22, 2023

🔶 Flew into Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport from Heathrow Airport. We flew with British Airways.

🔷 Stayed two nights at Libertel Gare Du Nord Suede. It’s in the heart of Paris with east acres to public train station and buses. Pretty much close to all the iconic historical spots.

🔶My parents and I enjoyed lunch at the Eiffel tower restaurant – Madame Brasserie located on the 1st floor.

Madame Brasserie

🔷Thankful our tickets allowed us to experienced the classically French cooking, toasted with Champagne and devoured yummy silky French dessert. We’d enjoyed some wine too!

Parisian Cuisine

🔶It was such a unique and unforgettable experience where we also appreciated the view of romantic Paris.

🔷It started with a simple “Hello” and “Where are you from?” That’s how Mr Parisian friend in my adventure in Tokyo, Japan back in March 2023.

🔶My parents and I dined with him at the fabulous restaurant Le Poulbot .We really enjoyed the food, Parisian atmosphere and conversation especially on French Guiana.

🔷History Highlights:

➡️My parents and I birth country is Guyana (formerly known as British Guiana).

➡️The Guiana’s was made up of 3 countries – French Guiana, British Guiana & Suriname (formerly know as Dutch Guiana) in South America.

➡️French Guiana is still under the French regime.

Day 2: June 23, 2023

🔶From the warm, tasteful, sweet, savory pastries to the milky coffee served with delicatessen in the city of love left my parents and I feeling “Pehla nasha, pehla khumaar”…in other words “The first intoxication, the first hangover”….

Cafe Experience

Thankfully our hotel was not too far from La Chaufferie Cafe so we can then go back and passed out. 😂!

Exploring Parisian cafes is a must in Paris. It’s like hitting up the spots Pablo Picasso, T.S. Elliott, Gertrude Stein, and Ernest Hemingway once hang y’all! Lol!

🔷My parents and I really saw her in person, that is the Mona Lisa, the world’s famous painting at the Museum of Louvre.

Mona Lisa

🔶We felt as though the whole world went to see her. It was so noisy with loads of excitement and chattering, but somehow I found a way to tune out the distraction as I’ve been waiting for decades to see this masterpiece.

🔷If you are passionate about art then the Mona Lisa will definitely play with your psychological state of mind. I felt as though if you stare at her for about 5 minutes or so it’d resulted in an emotional level of engagement with her. It’s mind blowing.

🔶What puzzled me?

➡️I always wondered why Leonardo da Vinci never finished her eyebrows. It’s like he intentionally did not complete his artwork/projects or was that meant to keep things mysterious.

➡️I also wondered if he would bust out an LOL 😂 knowing I and millions of others are trying to analyze his work after ~ 500 years or so…Leonardo was really a genius in his time…I wish I was a grasshopper following him around back in the days…

🔷My parents and I ran out of steam so we decided to ride with Abazz in his rickshaw 🛺 along the Seine River in Paris.

Rickshaw 🛺 Experience

🔶Abazz is from Tunisia, North Africa living in Paris with his young family.

🔷I’ve met lots of other Tunisians in Paris.l

➡️So Tunisia used to be under the French Regime before they gained independence when my parents were 3 years old….haha!!

➡️Considering French is the main language in both countries, it was easier for the Tunisians to transition to France.

➡️Isn’t it a common theme around the world where humans leave their birth countries searching for a better life in a more developed economy….

🔶My parents and I ended our family vacation by having an enjoyable dinner cruise 🚢 in the Seine River.

🔷We’d very much so appreciated the breathtaking view of Paris, Parisian’s gourmet dinner, Live music and ever friendly and warm atmosphere.
