4 Days in Malta Itinerary

I’m absolutely so thrilled to share my 4 days adventure in this Mediterranean dreamy country filled with rich history.

Day 1: September 21, 2023 in📍Sliema

⚪️Flew into Malta International Airport

⚪️Used the 🏧; there was no place to do the currency exchange thingy

⚪️Stayed at the Windsor Hotel

⚪️Enjoyed my welcomed champagne & Maltese dessert

Day 2: September 22, 2023

📍Valetta; capital of Malta

⚪️Explored Dingli Cliffs; it’s the highest point in Malta

Dingli Cliffs

⚪️Took some time to walk through the Sant’Anton Gardens; this is a tribute to the British. Malta is part of the commonwealth.

📍Rabat; Arab influenced neighborhood in Malta

⚪️Explored the Cataldus Catacombs – here is where the Christian used as a cemetery. It’s known for its agape table.

⚪️Walked through the Rabat Medina. Malta used be under the Muslim/Arab dynasty – settlers had came from Tunisia, North Africa

Rabat Medina

⚪️Enjoyed lunch with a group of 20 retired elderly travelers in their 80s.

Day 3: September 23, 2023 in📍Gozo Island

⚪️Took a day trip via the ferry to the gorgeous Gozo Island.

Gozo Island

⚪️Sipped on delicious Maltese wine on the very top deck on the ferry in the Mediterranean sea was Oooo Lala!!!

⚪️Explored the Citadel (wasn’t allowed to take pics inside)

⚪️Enjoyed a delicious lunch with folks I met from Mauritius (Only Hindu country in Africa)

⚪️Sipped on iced black coffee on some rooftop in the Mdina (Used to be under the Muslim/Arab dynasty)

Rooftop in the Mdina

⚪️Did some scuba diving and cave hopping too

⚪️Went to see “The Megalithic Temples of Malta”/“Ggantija Temple”

Ggantija Temple

⚪️It’s the second oldest man made structure temple standing in the world (the oldest is in Turkey)

⚪️It’s believed that the Neolithic peoples were Goddesses cultures. Their religion and rituals were based on women giving birth and upon death returning to Mother Earth.

⚪️It’s crazy to think these temples were built/used as a fertility cult.

⚪️As I stood here I was just wondering…

➡️How did they move such Giant Stones without Wheels or Machinery- Ancient Aliens Perhaps ??

⚪️This has been the best experience I had physically/emotionally/personally experienced in my life. It’s nuts to think we live in this big world with such amazing and mysterious history.

Day 4: September 24, 2023 in📍Valletta

⚪️The National Museum of Fine Arts in Malta is one of the most fascinating attractions in Valletta. I was particularly blown away by👇🏾

The National Museum of Fine Arts in Malta

➡️Maltese Joseph Farrugia’s work. I’m very appreciative of how he incorporates life’s experiences – good and bad in each angle, color, size and overall preparation with his art work. It leaves me fantasizing….

➡️Most of the Maltese artists studied art in Rome, Italy. I liked how they then returned to Malta to continue their art journey. Perhaps they were aiming to stay strong to their identity…this is a capture of a young Maltese male…wonder what he’s thinking about…

➡️Anton Pavlovich Chekhov was one of Russia’s greatest playwright. His work gives me a rush. One of his famous saying…”Medicine is my lawful wife, and literature is my mistress. When I get fed up with one, I spend the night with the other”…

⚪️Ended my trip by spending some time on the candlelit steps, just above Valletta’s mighty Victoria Gate.

⚪️It’s a great spot to sip on Maltese wine and/or cocktail as well as taste some Maltese gelato.

Maltese Wine (Yum Yum)

⚪️I have seen the most impressive and tasteful views of the Grand Harbor in Malta from this spot.

Grand Harbor

Overall I had a great time exploring Malta. The weather is so beautiful. The Mediterranean Sea is at its bluest. The culture is so diverse and rich.
