I’d visited Beijing in particular to see the “Great Wall of China.”

Here is my 13 hours itinerary on how I spent my time in Beijing that perhaps could be helpful with planning your visit as well!

My first impressions of Beijing👇🏾
➡️ Lots of buildings/skyscrapers
➡️ Temple of heaven in the airport

➡️ Advanced technology
➡️ Usage of QR codes especially on/in the 240 hour visa free entry line
➡️ Top tier customer services even with a language barrier
I visited one of the remarkable seven Wonders of the World the “Great Wall Of China” with great joy, inquisitiveness and appreciation.

The wall was built 10,000 years ago by people; hence I remembered learning 1% about its history in high school. Walking on it was like traveling back in time.

I chose Mutianyu because this tiny part of the wall is more preserved with not so many tourists.

It took me about 3 hours to fully hiked. I found myself gasping as I climbed the steep stairs, but ended with success and rewarded myself with a cable cart ride down and tea.

I read somewhere that it’ll take one year to actually experience the entire wall.
And I wondered how is it possible this is the biggest man made structure of ancient Chinese civilization…

Honestly I don’t think today’s advanced technology can replicate this masterpiece…it’s too perfect…
I also wondered how the wall may have an impact on animal migration and species development…like did that matte
FYI, I booked a private airport round trip transfer to the wall through @viator. Keep in mind the drive is about 2.5 hours each way.
Highly recommend visiting Beijing for its ancient history and adventurous outdoor natural wonders.
